What We Do

Greenstone uses its financial capital and expertise to acquire, develop, own and operate water assets.  The scope of water assets in which Greenstone transacts include: surface water rights, groundwater rights, offstream storage, underground storage, and related infrastructure that enables the conveyance of water from these assets to end users.

Greenstone has an interest in acquiring and developing water assets located throughout the western United States.  Depending upon the state, water assets acquired could include shares of mutual water companies, dam companies, and ditch companies; along with ownership of farmland, offstream storage facilities,  facilities that recharge and store water underground, and  facilities that convey water. Any farmland acquired is typically leased back to area farmers.

Greenstone’s development of water asset activities include: the design and construction of both offstream storage and underground recharge and storage facilities, including the underground recharge and storage of effluent.
